A magnitude-3.4 earthquake was recorded early Friday near Kilauea Volcano.

The temblor was recorded at 12:27 a.m. Friday at a depth of 4.5 miles. It was centered about 4.1 miles south-southwest of Puu Oo Crater, according to the U.S. Geological Survey Hawaiian Volcano Observatory.

No tsunami advisory was generated by the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center.
